The maiden Yoruba Cultural Heritage Festival taking place in Chicago, United States of America on Sept. 6 would be attended by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11.

This Yoruba Cultural Ambassador, Chief Lekan Alabi, said during his visit to Ooni’s Palace, on Saturday, at Ile-Ife that he was visiting to inform him about the Yoruba Cultural Heritage Festival and Award and that he would be the Royal Father of the day.

According to him, Oba Ogunwusi had earlier picked dates of the event for Sept. 6th to Sept 9th which had already publicised all over the world.

Also speaking, the festival coordinator, Mr. Wole Duro-Ladipo said that he was very happy that the Ooni would be with them live in Chicago for the event.

“Because Ooni has been to other cities of the world but has never been to Chicago.

“We are clamouring that Ooni should come and have agreed to be with us from 6th-9th September.

”The event was being packaged by First Eye Concept.

“Nigerians in Chicago, including the Mayor of Chicago, University of Chicago and Nigerians in United Kingdom are eagerly waiting to see our revered Royal Father,” he said.
