Twenty new coaches have arrived in Nigeria from China for the new Lagos-Ibadan and Abuja-Kaduna rail service.
The Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail line is expected to start commercial service soon.
The Federal Ministry of Transportation hinted that the 20 coaches will be inspected on Monday (today) by the minister, Rotimi Amaechi.
The minister would also assess work on the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail line.
Government had extended the new rail line project to the Lagos port as part of measures to ease the congestion on the Apapa port roads.
