Ememobong told newsmen in Uyo on Thursday that the project, to be located at Ibeno, was a good omen to the state.

”The project is coming with a road project that will open up the coastal areas of the state.

”The more than 10-20km of road which the company has promised to build in the state is good news already,” he said.

The commissioner urged the media to promote issues that would engender development in the state.

”As a government, we are doing our part to attract investors, our people need to support the government to achieve this.

”Making comments that will scare away investors is unpatriotic, we urge the media not encourage that,” he said.

Ememobong said that the Ibom Deep Sea Port project in Mbo Local Government area would also drive development and employment generation.

”Let us join hands to make these economy-driving projects to fully come on stream, they are for our betterment,” he said.
