The retail outlets around Maitama, Wuse, Gwarimpa, Wuye and Kubwa Expressway still have long queues while others are not selling the product.

A private car owner, Mrs Aishat Aminu, advised the government to solve the problem in the oil and gas sector in order to cushion the economic hardship of citizens.

A taxi driver, Malam Sabiu Umar, said he had been at the petrol station since 3.30 p.m, saying “I bought black market yesterday and did not make any profit”.

Another private car owner, Mr Eze Mike, said that the road side fuel he bought was adulterated, and this made him to join the long queue.

Mike said that black marketers sell 10 liters for N4,000, noting that the adulterated fuel could damage vehicles.

However, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has assured that there was no need to panic as there is sufficient fuel in stock.

The corporation said it is expecting more products soon.
