Adeyanju said that the union and the terminal operator had reached an agreement to resolve some of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

“Workers are to resume operational activities at the terminal this evening,” he said.

He commended the management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), for their prompt intervention to save the nation’s economy from collapse.

“The union is committed toward ensuring industrial peace and harmony in the shipping industry,” he said.

The union on July 20 shutdown operations at the APM Terminals in Apapa.

The MWUN is seeking to correct issues of alleged poor welfare packages and anti-labour activities by the APMT management.
