Council seeks incentives to boost indigenous ship operations

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), on Tuesday said 17 ships conveying petroleum products and other goods were expected at Lagos ports from Dec. 6 to Dec. 16.

It listed the items expected at the port to include; bulk sugar, frozen fish, general cargo, bulk wheat and petrol.

The NPA also stated that 20 ships were already discharging bulk wheat, general cargo, petrol, bulk sugar, base oil, frozen fish and bulk urea.

The authority added that two ships had arrived the port and were waiting to berth with general cargo and base oil.
