The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otumba Adeniyi Adebayo said this when a delegation from Republic of Bangladesh led by the High Commissioner to Nigeria, Masudur Rahman visited him on Tuesday in Abuja.

The minister said that the stronger trade relations would be achieved through increased volume of trade and partnership in the areas of natural and technological potential.

According to Adebayo, Bangladesh is noted for its potential in textile and garment production and Nigeria would like to tap into your technical expertise.

He urged Bangladesh to always participate in Nigerian trade fairs which provide veritable platforms for entrepreneurs to showcase their potential in Nigeria.

Earlier, the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Nigeria Masudur Rahman emphasised the need for Nigeria and Bangladesh to explore areas of mutual interest to both countries.

Rahman said that both countries can partner in the areas of education, liquefied natural gas, leather production, solid minerals and high-digitisation.

He, however, urged Nigerian entrepreneurs to explore the potential in Bangladesh, particularly in the area of textile and garment production, pharmaceutical research and leather production.

Rahman further said that entrepreneurs in Bangladesh were interested in investing in mining and liquefied natural gas in developing countries especially Nigeria.

The High Commissioner assured that his country would continue to promote Nigerian investment opportunities in Bangladesh.
