The comptroller-general made this known at the decoration ceremony of some newly appointed management members of the service in Abuja on Monday.

He said the service would anchor its activities on three pillars to consolidating its milestone so far.

According to him, the service has made a lot of progress in the areas of ICT and its processes and procedures and ought to consolidate on them.

On the newly decorated officers, Wale said the recognition was a call to more dedication and commitment to the service.

He said the recognition was a testimony of their contribution to Nigeria’s economy.

“These appointments were made by the President and this shows that you are doing your best to generate revenue necessary for the development of the nation.

“Each of the units that you are going to head is strategic to the overall growth of the service.

“So, wherever you find yourself, be conscious of the fact that your beat will contribute to the overall realisation of the mission of the service,”he said.

He said he would be having engagements with each of the units to discuss on how they could contribute specifically to the growth of the Customs.

We further said that the service would be collaborating with other agencies for synergy.
