The Chief Executive Officer of First Bank Group, Dr Adesola Adeduntan, while launching DXC at Wuse, Zone 2, Abuja, described it as the most optimised one-stop digital banking platform from the stable of the bank.

Adeduntan, speaking on some of the unique features of DXC said it was fully digitised to offer the service consumers were enjoyinv from the traditional branches.

“ It is digitised in every sense of the word with no tellers or human staff; it is fully equipped with digital screens, self-service terminals, card-issuance kiosks.

“Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), humanoid robots, video banking and Artificial Intelligence and several other digital-led and assisted gadgets to ensure you do not miss out on any service offered in the traditional branch, “ he said

Adeduntan, who described it as a deserving experience for the nation’s capital, expressed confidence that the diversely stylish, classy communities in Abuja would find it very handy and take advantage of the infinite opportunities in digital banking.

“ The FirstBank DXC is a fully automated interactive digital branch, the first of its kind in the Nigerian banking industry.

“It was first launched in Lagos Nigeria in 2021 and has since then, redefined customers’ banking experience by introducing them to a new world of digitised self-services.

“ The wholesome customer experience has subsequently facilitated the DXC’s expansion with a second branch recently launched in the University of Ibadan in August 2023 and today, the digitisation ‘train’ has arrived the nation’s capital in grand style,” Adeduntan said.

He said that the digital channels had been instrumental to the bank’s landmark achievement of over 22 million online subscribers, making the bank one of the fastest-growing bank-led digital penetrations in Nigeria.

“ I congratulate the Abuja Wuse community for being the worthy host to the first digitised branch in Nigeria’s political and administrative centre.

“I am enthused at the prospects it brings to our esteemed customers – both existing and prospective,” he said.

Adeduntan said that over the years, the bank had pioneered several customer-led digital platforms and innovative products and services.

These, according to him, include the FirstMobile App, Lit App, FirstOnline – internet banking, FirstMonie, USSD (*894#), and Chat Banking, amongst others.

He said that FirstBank would continue to be resolute in driving customer-led innovation and consolidating on next generation digital capabilities.

This, according to Adeduntan, will help to continuously improve interactions and engagements with the bank customers, thereby improving efficiencies and perpetually redefining the customer journey experience.

The CEO was accompanied by other management staff and employees of the bank to launch the new branch.
