Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General, Press and Media Affairs to Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, stated this in a statement issued in Damaturu and made available to newsmen on Friday.

According to the statement, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tevfik Gumus, disclosed this when Buni led a government delegation to the company in Konya, Turkey.

The statement added that the plant would assemble tractors with full compliment of accessories to make farming easy, attractive and profitable in the state.

“Tevfik promised that the company will produce equipment that is suitable for the state topography and climate and the North-East in general.

“The CEO said the company had been in existence for 40 years and producing equipment suitable to conditions of over 60 countries.

“We provide solutions to agricultural challenges from planting to harvests.

“The company also works on soil preparation and testing, training and equipment.

“Our company is most willing to partner your state to design, manufacture and establish a plant in your state to serve you and other states close to you,” the statement added.

It also stated that Buni assured the company of his administration’s preparedness to partner with other private investors to provide the necessary incentives to the company.

The statement further stated that the state was committed to developing agriculture to ensure food security and tackle unemployment.
