Mr Paul Jones, the Board Chairman of the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) said that more than 1,300 companies from 104 countries were at the exhibition floor of the ongoing conference to showcase the vast offshore energy opportunities globally on the exhibition floor.

Jones, in a statement he issued in Houston, Texas, U.S said countries from around the world brought together energy industry delegations to showcase their technologies and equipment on the exhibition floor, spanning more than 276,000 square feet.

“OTC 2023 was pleased to welcome more than 31,000 participants this year, a 30 per cent increase from last year’s conference.

“This year’s technical programme was comprised of 49 sessions, including 25 executive dialogues and keynote speakers.

“14 panels, five networking events and six countries showcased through the around the world’s series.

“Nearly a quarter of the technical programme covered the topics of offshore wind, renewables, carbon capture, and the energy transition,” he said.

Jones also said the professionals were gathered to discuss the offshore sector’s critical role in the energy transition and the opportunities for critical minerals, hydrogen, and carbon capture.

The professionals also discussed on storage, among other topics like cyber security and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

He said, “Participants had the opportunity to connect with top industry leaders showcasing the latest innovations and technological advancements.

“The Offshore Technology Conference has always attracted brilliant offshore energy professionals from around the world.

“And as we look to meet global energy demands, this year’s conference reaffirmed that the future of our industry is stronger than ever.”

Jones said that the exhibit floor this year included OTC’s energy insights, a live studio sharing companies’ thoughts on emerging technologies a market trends, and the latest news.

He noted that it also involved engaging with conference attendees and audiences at home.

The chairman said that the energy transition pavilion also returned for its second year, highlighting the abundant opportunities the offshore industry offers for emission reductions through wind, hydrogen production, and carbon capture.

He said others were storage and providing a dedicated space for collaboration around the offshore wind space in the new Offshore Wind Lounge

Jones said that OTC 2024 would take place between May 6 and May 9.

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters.
