Digital directory to bridge gap between MSMEs in Africa unveiled

Lagos, July 23, 2023: Market Link Africa (MALA) on Monday announced the launch of a digital business directory to bridge the gap and forge connections among Macro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Africa.

The Project Manager, Austine Mabamidje said at the unveiling in Lagos that MSMEs across Africa even to rural areas are vital part of country’s economic growth.

The project manager said most MSMEs were not visible and their economic impact not felt but with the launch of the digitally directory would be visible and promoted.

Mabamidje said that in an era marked by globalization and technological advancements, the ability to bridge gaps and forge meaningful connections is more critical than ever.

He said that Africa, with its diverse and vibrant markets, is a treasure trove of untapped potential, hence the the need for connections and collaboration to bridge economic gap

He said that digital directory endeavours to unlock this potential by providing a comprehensive digital platform that brings together entrepreneurs, companies, investors, and stakeholders from across the continent.

According to him, It is a virtual marketplace where dreams meet opportunities, where ambitions soar, and where partnerships flourish.

‘’The digital business directory that is set to revolutionize the way to connect, collaborate, and thrive in the African business landscape.

‘’Today, we gather here to celebrate the birth of an extraordinary platform that will redefine the future of commerce in Africa.

‘’In the heart of this dynamic continent, where innovation, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit thrive, MALA emerges as a beacon of opportunity and progress,’’ he said.

The project manager said that the directory would serve as an invaluable resource, facilitating seamless connections between businesses, fostering collaboration, and driving economic growth across borders.

According to him, at MALA, we understand the significance of connectivity and the immense power it holds to shape the destiny of nations.

He said that the platform goes beyond geographical boundaries, facilitating collaborations that transcend borders, cultures, and languages.

Mabamidje said that it is a testament to commitment to harness the collective strength of Africa’s business community for the greater good.

According to him, together, we are breaking barriers, paving the way for a more prosperous and inclusive future. Our objective at MALA is to keep people inspired, informed, interested and involved.

He however called for partnership for adequate provision of Internet facilities to ensure MSMEs In rural areas have access to the platform.
