Mr Olalekan Ayodimeji, the KWACCIMA President, disclosed this on Wednesday at their Second Quarterly General Meeting held in Ilorin.

He stated that the Business Clinic is to be located within the secretariat of the chamber, also known as the Association of Entrepreneurs, in Ilorin.

Ayodimeji explained that the clinic when operational, would attend to issues arising from tax, regulatory matters, legal, clearing of goods, excess bank charges, financial and entrepreneurship advice, agriculture and other business matters.

The president stated that experienced business leaders and professionals have been assembled to help solve some of the problems associated with businesses.

“This year, the chamber has lined up beneficial programmes. These include but not limited to the establishment of business clinic, which will be operated within the chamber secretariat.

“The clinic will comprise of experienced business leaders and professionals with the aim of providing solutions and advice to various business issues such as tax, regulatory matters, legal, clearing of goods, excess bank charges, financial and entrepreneurship advice, agriculture and other business matters,’’ he said.

He also informed that the chamber would embark on advocacy and roundtable discussions with stakeholders in government on ease of doing business in the state.

Ayodimeji added that the organisation under his leadership also planned to work on trade missions to ensure the lifting of restrictions on international travels arising from COVID-19 outbreak.

He sought for the support and cooperation of members of the chamber for early payment of annual dues with a view to positioning the organisation to meet its financial obligation and in turn render quality service.

Similarly, Ayodimeji told the meeting that talks had reached a major stage with the Kwara State University, Malete, for the inauguration of KWACCIMA Business Academy, describing it as a project consummated in 2020.

“I am delighted to inform you that discussions with KWASU on commencement of programme have reached an advanced stage.

“The programme will lead to the award of diplomas and certificates in some selected areas of entrepreneural, technical and vocational studies, language, business studies as well as distance and e-learning in various business related courses,’’ he said.

He added that the chamber is a non-governmental organisation and an association of entrepreneurs with common goal of protecting and improving the business environment for their benefits.
