Insurance firm takes new steps to make profit, satisfy customers

CIIN president tasks Insurance directors on manpower development

Great Nigeria Insurance (GNI) Plc., on Sunday, pledged to re-strategise on making its business more profitable and providing customer-focused solutions to the insuring public in 2022.

The managing Director/CEO of the underwriting firm , Mrs Cecilia Osipitan, in a statement made available in Lagos, said that the insurer would also consolidate on the gains of the past for greater performance .

 ” Our theme for year 2022 is : ‘Our Year of Phenomenal Growth and Profitability’, which espoused on the need to consolidate on the gains of the past years , ” she said.  .

Osipitan announced that the insurer promoted 16 staff from different cadres, while the employment of 13 staff on probation were confirmed , following a satisfactory performance in the appraisal for the first half of year 2021.

She appreciated all the staff for their dedication and performance in the past year and urged the management staff to bring to bear an unrelenting commitment and dedication to ensuring that the targets set for 2022 were met and surpassed.

” We must not relent in our quest of making the GNI Plc brand the most preferred and patronised brand in the insurance industry in Nigeria, while  prioritising accomplishment as the watchword for our operations in 2022 .

” Our greatest asset is our human capital, which we have recognised as the key success factor in organisational growth and survival .

” Hence we will keep motivating our employees through a continuous reward process so that they can perform at their optimal level at all times, ” she said .

GNI is a composite underwriting firm with branches spread across the country and  licensed to underwrite both life and non-life insurance businesses.

The firm has over 60 years’ experience in the Nigerian insurance industry.
