13 ships with goods waiting to berth at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Thursday said 13 ships that had arrived the ports were waiting to berth with petroleum products and others.

NPA in its ”Daily Shipping Position” listed the products in the ships as: general cargo, bulk wheat, petrol, bulk urea, bulk sugar and bulk gypsum.

It said that another 20 ships at the ports were discharging petrol, bulk wheat, general cargo, container, bulk sugar, bulk clinker, frozen fish, butane gas, automobile gasoline and bulk urea.

Meanwhile, 25 other ships also laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected from July 21 to July 31.

The authority said that the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.

It indicated that the ships contain general cargo, frozen fish, bulk sugar, container, bulk gypsum, automobile gasoline, bulk steam coal, petrol, base oil, jet fuel and bulk fertilizer.
