The troubled National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been sacked.
The National Executive Committee (NEC) on June 25, 2020 approved the dissolution of the NWC,
NEC appointed Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe as Caretaker Chairman of the party.
Buni was sworn-in by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami.
Buni, who was a one-time Secretary of the party, is to oversee the conduct of the forthcoming APC convention.
The NEC meeting was attended by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The NWC has been embroiled in leadership tussle, with two sharp camps emerging and the governors divided.
