Obianwu said this at a digital closing gong ceremony at the NGX in honour of CMSA, in commemoration of the association’s 20th anniversary on Friday, in Lagos.

According to him, CMSA will continue to have a mutual relationship with the exchange and ensure that it competes favourably globally.

He also thanked the exchange for having the digital gong ceremony in honour of the CMSA.

The Chief Executive Officer, NGX, Mr Temi Popoola, on his part, welcomed the CMSA to the exchange.

Popoola was represented by Mrs Irene Robinson-Ayanwale, Acting Divisional Head, Business Support Services, NGX.

He said it was the pleasure of the NGX to welcome the executives of the CMSA to the NGX in commemoration of the association’s 20th anniversary.

Also, Alhaji Rasheed Yusuf, Doyen of the Nigerian Capital Market, who spoke on behalf of the stockbroking community, congratulated the officials of CMSA on the anniversary.

Yusuf said said that the capital market solicitors were relevant in domesticating the operations of the market.

He said the solicitors remained relevant as they continued to play their roles in ensuring the success of the market.

Yusuf said that both the stockbrokers and the capital market solicitors had always given their support to the development of the exchange.

He said that combined efforts of the two had made the market to be relevant within the continent and globally, while noting that the solicitors could not be ignored, being a major integral part of the capital market.

The stockbroker, therefore, urged them to continue to contribute their quota in ensuring that the exchange remains an enviable market both locally and internationally.
