NCDMB, GACN, Infini sign gas supply agreement

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), the Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria (GACN) and Infini Power Limited (Infini) have signed a Gas Supply Collaboration Agreement to underpin power generation by Infini at NCDMB’s Industrial Parks.

The parks are located at Emeyal 1 in Ogbia Local Government Area, of Bayelsa and at Odukpani, in Cross River.

The agreement was signed in Yenagoa by the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Simbi  Wabote and the Managing Director of GACN, Mr Olalekan Ogunleye, and Mr Mallison Ukatu of Infini.

This event took place on the sideline of the 10th Nigerian Content Forum organised by NCDMB in Yanagoa on Wednesday.

Earlier in the panel discussion, the GED Gas and Power NNPC , Malam Abdulkabir Ahmed enumerated several steps to ensure optimization of opportunities in the Gas sector as well as grow the Sector.

The GACN MD stated that this was the perfect time for the business community to invest in gas development given the priortization of gas for economic growth by the Federal Government, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, NNPC and NCDMB.

He said that the Government and NNPC have provided the enabling environment for gas investment whether large or small and the commerciality of such opportunities would unlock financing.

 The panel discussants agreed that the gas sector is the hub of opportunities and encouraged serious investors and players to come into it.
