Mrs Aderemi Apatira, the Chief Executive Officer of PawaPlus made this known during the official launch of the application and company’s Logo at Ikeja on Wednesday.

She said that the app would give Nigerians the opportunity to optimise volume and manage energy.

Apatira said that beyond buying of regular token for electricity on the PawaPlus app, people could also pay for postpaid.

” The app has other features such as UpNEPA which allows people to set a location and track whether they have light in their areas.

” Also we are currently on boarding gas retailer on the app so that in the next few months, Nigerians can order for gas without leaving there houses, ” She said.

Apatira noted that in the heat of the pandemic and subsequent lockdown everyone was left in a dark space and access to energy became a challenge especially in climes like Nigeria, that was not so technologically advanced.

She said that a lot of people lost their jobs and found it difficult to buy basic energy to power things in there homes, hence the idea to create an app like Pawaplus.

Apatira noted that the app was innovated by a group of Nigerian youths working in the finance space.

She also said that the app had a wallet feature that allows people to save up money for energy, which they could use to buy electricity or post paid and gas when they don’t have cash in the future.

Apatira added that the company also plans to create a PawaFuel universal card which one could use to buy fuel at any station across Nigeria.

She noted that the PawaPlus app which was established on Jan.1, 2022 was now available on IOS and Apple store.
